“Anycubic assemble Delta Rostock 3D printer Kossel”

The Printer….

The build so far…..

Well it arrived in good time, I have spent around 4 hours or so so far putting it together, there are some issues. I have some threads that have pulled where they have been tapped out marginally to large on the “Hot End” carriage, but the modifications that I have come up with on the fly should permanently fix the issues.

There are some screw mismatching especially the duct on the “Hot End” there is also a pulled thread on the cowl around it. Before anyone says I’ve over tightened things I can assure anyone I have not.

Overall impressions so far, this is a wonderful kit, its all rather substantial and solid, I will mount the hot end assembly tonight ready for the belts tomorrow.

Only time will tell if this printer is any good, but I wanted something with a relatively small foot print, I will make a nice acrylic case for it to work in later. Mean while I need to bust out the 3D software, software of choice is 360 from Autodesk.. I’ve been using cad for best part of 16 years if not more and still love autodesk. However some of the other products around out there are truly amazing.. TINKERCAD is free to use online and is sooo cool..

The results are getting better…

The Plan….

I plan to be able to make my own cases and printed circuit boards, with the addition of a small light weight router head this might be able to engrave and cut small parts…
